Hello Creative Artists!
A lot has happened with the Independent Filmmakers Guild of America and our members since we sent out our last update!
As we approach our first anniversary, we see the IFGA acronym and seal appearing in movies throughout our membership. Why is this important? This is critical for IFGA exposure and branding, and to let the production world know we are independent creators supporting one another through the collective of the IFGA.
IFGA Members continue sharing their journeys with the INFLUX Magazine IFGA Interview Series. This has been a great way to learn more about our members and what they are doing in the world of independent film. Login to your account and click on the INFLUX Magazine Interview link to conduct your interview for publication (only for members).
We have recently added a new “Social Media Shoutout” section for IFGA members. Sometimes we will request submissions, but members can submit anytime so we can share what people in the IFGA are working on or promoting.
There are now six online courses in photography, filmmaking, and video production for members to experience as a part of their continuing education or certification. We recently added courses in Film Studies, Advanced Filmmaking, and Event Video Production.
The Knowledge Base has new entries to aid in the creative process, and the Document Library continues to have new items added to help you in your production efforts.
Our Member Directory has also gone live. This allows for members to individually let others within the community know if/how they can be contacted. This is exclusive to members.
And, as always, don’t forget about our Script Registry and DCP Services. The Script Registry is available for free to members and for a minimal fee to non-members. Register as many screenplays as you like to have an extra layer of protection should your authorship ever be in question. If you have a screening coming up, our DCP Services (Digital Cinema Package) are professional and industry standard to ensure that your independent theater or festival screening go off without a hitch. Members receive a 30% discount on all DCP services.
